200-denier nylon bunting. Unsurpassed in beauty and craftsmanship,
these State and territory flags are manufactured to precise
specifications. Authentic seals and designs are always in correct
proportion to the flag size. The Aniline-dying process duplicates
complex emblems with exacting accuracy in brilliant, fast colors.

BRASS GROMMETS-Flags
through sizes 6 x 10' feature strong, durable solid brass
grommets.

HEADERS-All
our flags are constructed with heavy canvas heading material.

STITCHING-All
seems are double-stitched and fly ends have 4 to 6 rows
of stitching.

METAL THIMBLES-All
flags 8 x 12' and larger are made with roped heading and
metal thimbles for larger flagpoles.

 The
flag was originally designed by Andrew Carlisle Johnson in 1911.
The C-shaped emblem contains the colors of Spain which originally
claimed the area, and the gold ball represents the state's mineral
wealth.
Precise colors of red and blue were not designated in the 1911
legislation and some controversy arose over those colors. In
1929, the General Assembly stipulated the precise colors of
red and blue to be the same as the U.S. national flag.
Controversy also arose over the size of the letter C and 1964,
the General Assembly modified the 1911 legislation by revising
the distance from the staff for the letter C and its diameter. |
