Miraflores is a municipality in the Colombian Department of
Boyacá, part of the the subregion of the Lengupá Province. It
was founded on 9 December 1811.
The flag of Miraflores is
green with diagonally (bottom hoist to top fly) stripe. In its
center, it is charged with the coat of arms and white star.
Information in Spanish: "Los colores significan: el rojo
cincuenta por ciento, es el espíritu combativo y luchador del
pueblo, así como la sangre derramada por los próceres en busca
de la libertad. El verde cincuenta por ciento, la riqueza
ecológica y potencial agrícola del Municipio de Miraflores. La
franja blanca: esta franja atraviesa el extremo superior
izquierdo al extremo inferior derecho, tiene un ancho equivalente
al veinte por ciento del ancho total de la bandera y significa:
En la parte roja la paz que se obtuvo y que se espera mantener.
En la parte verde la PAZ de la NATURALEZA. La estrella significa
la importancia del Municipio dentro de la provincia
