Description of the flag

The municipality of Stari Grad ('Old Town'), part of the city of Belgrade, adopted a coat of arms and flag designed by Serbian Heraldry Society.

The flag is based on the first known coat of arms of Belgrade, dating from XIII-XIVth century. Stari Grad is the the oldest part of Belgrade city

The coat of arms can be blazoned as:

Per fess, gules a tower argent windowed and lined sable, on each side on a stone argent a double cross barred or; barry of six argent and gules.
