Šuto Orizari (14,301 inhabitants) is part of Greater Skopje. It is one of the only municipalities in the world with a Rom municipal administration.
Jovan Jovanoski, 18 February 2002
The municipal flag of Šuto Orizari is vertical, in proportion 2:1, vertically divided green-blue. A yellow vertical stripe, which progressively enlarges to the bottom of the flag, is placed between the two vertical fields. Two yellow rays radiate from the stripe in each field. A red wheel is skewed to the top of the flag. The convergency of the yellow stripe and rays constitute four of the wheel ray. The four other rays are red.
The green and blue colours as well as the red wheel clearly recall the Rom flag. The yellow rays might indicate a Macedonian connection.
