- name under Nazi occupation: Rädichau (1943-45).
The local law of 2003 says: "The Arms of the City show, on the blue
field, three white, free-standing defensive towers with the red, peaked
roofs.
Under the middle tower with open gate, there is a gold plate with the
head of Saint John the Baptist on it.
The City's flag is a rectangle composed of three equal horizontal bands
in the colors of blue (upper) - yellow (middle) - red (lower).
The City's Arms are displayed on the middle (yellow) band."
