Presentation of Destrnik

The municipality of Destrnik was formed in 1998 by division of the community Destrnik-Trnovska vas, itself formed in 1995. To the best of my knowledge, the joint community did not adopt any symbols for the short period of its existence.

Description of the flag

On Tednik site, there is an article from Tednik (8. July 1999), regarding the celebration of the first municipality day on 4th July 1999.
In the fifth paragraph of the mentioned page is stated (my translation):

'The central events on the celebration of the Destrnik municipality day started with the Sunday mass that was followed by a celebration. After the speech of mayor Franc Puksic the new flag of Destrnik was hoisted for the first time, and the new coat of arms was presented. The new yellow-green flag was also given to all chairmen of local councils, and the flags were hoisted on that day throughout the municipality. As a part of the celebrations the municipality awards were also presented [...]'

Pictures of the coat of arms and flag of Destrnik are shown on the website of the Ministry of Interior. The flag is horizontally divided yellow-green with the coat of arms in the yellow stripe near the hoist. Proportion of the flag seems to be 1:2.
